BW stings men's soccer in overtime

Baldwin Wallace scored the game-winning goal in the final seconds of overtime to sting Muskingum in the Ohio Athletic Conference opener for both teams on a cold, rainy Saturday in Berea, 2-1.

  • Baldwin Wallace grabbed a 1-0 lead in the 48th minute on JT Taubeneck's goal off of Garrett McCue's assist.
  • Muskie freshman Chase Michael Hilliard tied the game in the 77th minute on an unassisted goal. The tally was the third of the season for Michael Hilliard. He ended with a team-high three shots.
  • BW registered the game-winning strike in the final seconds of overtime on a header by Logan Davis. The score was set up by a 50-yard free kick.
  • The Yellow Jackets ended the game with a 22-6 advantage in shots and 10-4 edge in corner kicks.
  • Muskie freshmen Gage Toy, Amier Salah and Alex Furst all logged a shot.
  • The outing marked the second straight overtime loss for the Muskies, whom have fallen in overtime in three of their last four games.

In the Net

  • Freshman Gabriel Kral played all 100 minutes in the net and made seven saves and allowed two goals.
  • Zach Haynes played the entire game in frame for BW and allowed one goal.
