The Muskingum men's golf team opened its fall season at the Baldwin Wallace Invitational on Saturday. The Muskies battled through the weather elements to finish fourth with a 307. The event was held at Mallard Creek Golf Course (par 72 and 6,638 yards long).
Senior Derek Crum led Muskingum finishing tied for fifth in the 41-golfer field with a one-over par 73.
Sophomore Brenton Franks carded a 74 to finish tied for seventh. Senior Christian Taylor was tied for 28th with a 79.
Senior Gordie German shot an 81 to finish 31st, while senior Josh Blaustein tied for 34th with an 83.
Baldwin Wallace won the team title with a one-under par 287. BW's Ben Ladaika won medalist honors with a three-under par 69.
Muskingum next competes at the John Carroll Invitational at Shaker Heights Country Club on Monday, September 17.
