Men's Golf finishes seventh at Ohio Northern

The Muskingum men's golf team finished seventh in the 10-team field at the Ohio Northern Spring Invitational on Saturday-Sunday.

The Basics 

  • Muskingum shot a two-day total of 632 (316-316).
  • The invitational was played at the Colonial Golfers Club in Harrod, Ohio.
  • The course was a par 71.
  • Ohio Northern hosted the event.

On the Course 

  • Sophomore Gordie German led the Muskies with a 153 (79-74) to finish tied for 11th in the 54-golfer field. 
  • Sophomore Derek Crum finished tied for 24th with a 159 (80-79).
  • Senior Luke Janci shot a 161 (78-83) to finish tied for 31st.
  • Senior Matt Peacock shot a 164 (84-80) to finish tied for 38th.
  • Junior Jacob Van Leeuwen rounded out the Muskie team scoring with a 165 (79-85) to finish tied for 40th.
  • Tiffin won the team title with a 595 (298-297).
  • Brandon Hoelzer of Lourdes University won medalist honors with a 143 (70-73).
