The Muskingum men's basketball team opens the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament at Mount Union on Tuesday, March 2. Game time is set for 8:00 p.m.
The Basics
- The OAC Tournament features eight teams in the league, with the Quarterfinal round starting on Tuesday.
- Muskingum earned the six-seed after ending the regular season with a 4-8 record.
- Mount Union earned the three-seed after registering an 8-3 record.
The Series
- The tournament contest will mark the third meeting between Muskingum and Mount Union in the last five days. The Purples Raiders won both regular-season games winning in New Concord on Friday (91-74) and in Alliance on Saturday (99-67).

- Junior Trey Singleton leads the Muskies in scoring, averaging 15.3 points per game. He is shooting .493 from the field.
- Senior Alex Masinelli is second on the team in scoring, averaging 14 points per contest. He also is registering a team-best 3.3 assists per outing.
- Junior MJ Smith rounds out the double-digit scoring for the Muskies averaging 12.4 points per game. Smith has made a team-high 35 three-point shots and is shooting .486 from deep.
- As a team, Muskingum averages 78.3 points and 34.5 rebounds per game and is shooting .475 from the field.
Mount Union - Inside The Numbers
- Junior Collen Gurley leads Mount Union in scoring averaging 17.3 points per game. He has made a team-high 36 three-point shots.
- Junior Braedon Poole averages a double-double for the Purple Raiders, scoring 16.4 points and grabbing 10.2 rebounds per game.
- Junior Ethan Stanislawski is third on the team in scoring, averaging 11.5 points per contest.
- As a team, Mount Union averages 89.6 points and 40.2 rebounds per game and is shooting .493 from the floor.
