The Muskingum men's basketball team celebrated Senior Night against Mount Union on Friday night. The Muskies battled the Purple Raiders in a physical contest before falling late, 91-74.

- Before the game, senior Mitch Clark was recognized for his career with the Muskingum men's basketball team.
- Clark has been with the program for four years and appeared in 59 games for the Muskies.
- Clark averages 7.1 points-per-game and 3.9 rebounds-per-game for his career.
Inside The Numbers
- Junior Trey Singleton finished with a team-high 17 points. He shot 7-of-14 from the field.
- Junior Carson Carter added 14 points and also finished with five rebounds.
- Freshman Evan Boatwright tallied 11 points and four rebounds as well.
- Sophomore Tanner Gensler finished with a team-high six rebounds and three assists.
- As a team, the Muskies shot 27-of-55 (.491) from the field and 7-of-14 (.500) from the three-point line.
- Leading the Purple Raiders was Darrell Newsom with 16 points on 4-of-5 shooting from deep.
- Chris Painter also added 13 points for Mount Union.
- Collen Gurley chipped in 12 points and finished with a game-high six assists.
- The Purple Raiders shot 30-of-59 (.508) from the field and 8-of-23 (.347) from deep.
The Difference
- Both teams came out of the gates red-hot, but neither side could take control of the game early.
- Mount Union was able to go up by as many as 11 late in the first half, but Muskingum battled back and cut the Purple Raider lead to 38-35 at halftime.
- Aiding Mount Union to their first-half lead was dominant post play and a 26-10 advantage on points in the paint during the opening frame.
- After the break, both teams continued to go back-and-forth, and the game was tied at the 17:30 mark in the second half.
- However, Mount Union proceeded to go on a 21-7 run over the next seven minutes and extended their lead to 14.
- The final margin of 17 points was Mount Union's largest lead of the game.
- Mount Union was able to force 18 Muskie turnovers and converted that to a 25-8 advantage on points-off-turnovers.
- Both teams showed depth, as Mount Union held a slight edge in bench scoring, 45-40.
- The Muskies finished with 26 rebounds and 13 assists as a team.
