WIlmington used a late 20-1 surge to erase a 13-point deficit en route to stealing a road win against Muskingum on Wednesday night in the Anne C. Steele Center, 91-87.

• Prior to the start of the game, Muskingum held a moment of silence for junior Jarrell Marsh who tragically lost his life in a car accident on December 21, 2017. Following the moment of silence, Muskingum Head Coach Travis Schwab presented the Marsh family with Jarrell Marsh's framed jersey.

Inside the Numbers  

• Marcus Dempsey led the Muskies with 25 points on 9-of-17 shooting. He also added five assists and four rebounds.
• Devon Peart accrued 18 points on 5-of-9 shooting. He finished with a team-best seven rebounds and two steals.
• Jalen Paige went 2-for-2 from the arc and chipped in nine points, four rebounds, and two assists.
• Rashay Douglas, Brandon Keyes, and Jacob Geller each grabbed five rebounds.
• Muskingum ended the contest making .500 (28-of-56) from the field and held a 39-38 edge in rebounds.  
• Will Patrick came off the bench and provided a game-high 26 points to lead the Quakers offense.
• Nathan Scott contributed 18 points and five rebounds.
• Andrew Russell scored 13 points and eight rebounds, while Jordan Jones added 10 points.

Game Highlights

Muskingum seemed on the verge of collecting its fifth conference win after three made free throws by Paige gave the Muskies their largest lead of the night at 81-68 with 6:20 to play. However, the Quakers answered the Muskie run by going on a 20-1 surge over the next the six minutes to take a 88-82 lead with 38 seconds to play. Wilmington's surge was highlighted by 10 made free throws and a pair of three-point shots. The Quakers maintained the advantage in the final seconds by hitting clutch free throws to seal the road win.

The first half featured a battle of runs between both teams. Wilmington stretched out two seven-point leads throughout the half only to see the Muskies fight back both times to tie the game. The contest was knotted at 37-37 with 1:41 to play before Wilmington used a late 8-4 spurt to take a 445
