• Junior Jarrell Marsh became the 31st Muskingum men's basketball player to reach 1,000 career points with a 28-point effort against Waynesburg. He achieved his milestone in his 58th career game, while averaging 17.4 points per game.

• Marsh finished with a team-best 28 points, hitting 10-of-20 from the field. He also contributed seven rebounds, five steals, three assists, and two blocks.
• Sophomore Marcus Dempsey tallied 15 points.
• Sophomore Rashay Douglas notched 14 points and two steals.
• Junior Brandon Keyes added nine points and a career-high nine rebounds.
• Junior Devon Peart created four steals.
• As a team, Muskingum went 25-for-63 (.397) from the field, 9-for-27 from the arc (.333), and 19-for-22 at the free throw line (.864).
• Jon Knab paced the Yellow Jackets offense with 21 points and seven rebounds.
• Frank Bozicevic led the reserves with 15 points, six rebounds, and a team-best four steals, while Kaleb McDiffitt and Marcus Wallace each chipped in 12 points.

Game Highlights

The Muskies started the first half making back-to-back-to-back three-pointers to take the 9-5 advantage with 14:59 left. Over the next several minutes, the Yellow Jackets used a 12-4 surge to take a 17-13 lead. Muskingum rallied back and tied the contest at 20-20 with 8:36 remaining. However, Waynesburg's offense took command for the rest of the half as they outscored Muskingum 17-8 to close the half with a 37-28 advantage.

Waynesburg's offense came out strong to start the second half as they scored 10 points in the first three minutes to push its lead to 47-30. Moments later, the Muskies went on a 12-4 spurt, cutting their deficit to 51-45, with 12:46 on the clock. Waynesburg continued to knock down shots to increase its advantage, but Muskingum battled back and after Marsh drained a three-pointer to register his 1,000 career point, the Muskies trimmed their gap to 61-55 with 8:41 left. Waynesburg withstood the Muskie charge down the stretch and survived a frantic final minute to seal the road win.
