The Muskingum men's basketball team dropped a tight Ohio Athletic Conference contest at Ohio Northern Saturday afternoon, 101-96.

The Basics

Post Game 

  • Muskingum finished with six players in double figures.
  • Senior Joshua Keyes led the way with a team-high 20 points and nine rebounds.
  • Senior Rickey Wilson and sophomore Jarrell Marsh both added 16 points each.
  • Sophomore Devon Peart chipped in 12 points, while sophomore Jalen Paige and freshman Marcus Dempsey both finished with 11 points. 
  • As a team, Muskingum shot 36-for-69 (.522) from the floor, including 10 three-pointers.
  • Ohio Northern was led by Devon Allen with a game-high 24 points.
  • The Polar Bears ended the contest shooting 34-for-55 (.618) from the field.

Inside the Numbers

  • Muskingum captured its largest lead of the contest with 9:49 to play in the first-half, 27-21.
  • The Muskies connected for five three-pointers to claim the 49-46 halftime advantage.
  • Northern opened the second-half with an 8-0 run to steal the 54-49 lead.
  • Muskingum played from behind much of the second period pulling within 94-92 with 1:50 remaining after a deep ball by Wilson.
  • The Polar Bears outscored Muskingum 55-47 in the half to claim the victory.
