The Muskingum men's basketball team dropped an overtime thriller at Baldwin Wallace Saturday afternoon, 89-83.
The Basics
- Records: Muskingum (10-7 overall, 4-6 OAC), Baldwin Wallace (11-6 overall, 5-5 OAC)
- Location: Berea, Ohio - Ursprung Gymnasium
First Half
- Senior Joshua Glass led a 7-0 run with 12:11 to play putting the Muskies on top 22-11.
- Muskingum continued to extend its lead as freshman Marcus Dempsey connected in the paint pushing the lead to double digits, 24-14.
- Baldwin Wallace rallied in the final two minutes of action to cut the deficit to 40-33 at the break.
- Muskingum shot 17-for-32 (.531) from the field.
- Dempsey led the way with nine first-half points.
Second Half
- The Muskies claimed its largest lead of the contest, 55-39, with 14:53 to play following a deep ball from Glass.
- Baldwin Wallace battled back knotting the score at 68-68 with :14 seconds left after Cam Kuhn connected from three-point land.
- The Yellow Jackets outscored Muskingum 35-28 in the half.
- Senior Joshua Keyes netted 11 points for the Muskies and pulled down seven rebounds.
Overtime
- Baldwin Wallace used an 8-0 run over a minute and a half span to outscore the Muskies 21-15 en route to the win.
Inside the Numbers
- Keyes led the way recording his third consecutive double-double scoring 14 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
- Dempsey finished with 16 points and nine rebounds.
- Sophomore Jarrell Marsh added 14 points for the Muskies.
- Battle led the way for Baldwin Wallace with a game-high 23 points.
