Chris Shank is in his second year on the Muskingum staff as offensive line coach.

Most recently, Shank was an assistant coach at the University of the South serving as the Offensive Line Coach as well as the head strength and conditioning coordinator. During his six years at the University of the South, Shank coached six All-Conference players, three College Football Hall of Fame and National Football Foundation Scholar-Athletes and one All-American. Shank also coached professional player, Will Rackley who was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2011.

Prior to joining the University of the South, Shank served as an assistant coach at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. for four seasons. There he served as the assistant offensive line and tight ends coach, as well as the team’s video coordinator.

Prior to joining the staff at Lehigh, Shank coached at Heidelberg University where he served as a graduate assistant for two seasons. He coached mainly the defense primarily working with the defensive line.

Shank played his collegiate football at Muskingum University from 1999-2003. He earned a B.A. in Physical Education and obtained his Master of Arts degree in 2005 from Heidelberg University. He currently resides in New Concord.
