Football recognized with four All-OAC selections

The Muskingum football team was recognized with four All-Ohio Athletic Conference selections. Junior defensive end Tim Ousley led the charge being named First Team All-OAC, while sophomore defensive back Cortez McGinnis was named Second Team All-OAC. Senior linebacker Brandon Schon and sophomore offensive lineman TJ Boyd rounded out the Muskie honorees with Honorable Mention All-OAC accolades.

Ousley led the league in tackles for loss with 17 for 74 yards and paced the OAC with three forced fumbles. He ended the campaign with a career-best 67 tackles and 7.5 sacks for 47 yards. Through his first three years, Ousley has racked up 184 stops, 47 tackles for loss for 184 yards and 18 sacks for 117 yards. He will enter his senior year ranked fourth all-time at Muskingum in sacks and is just three sacks shy of breaking the Muskingum career record. This marks the second straight year that Ousley has been named All-OAC (Second Team in 2017).

McGinnis ended the year with 52 tackles, five pass breakups and one interception. He had a career-high nine stops in Muskingum's season-opening win at Waynesburg and ended the year with a career-best two pass breakups against Capital.

Schon ranked fifth in the OAC with a career-high 93 tackles. He also registered one interception return for a touchdown (41 yards) and had 1.5 sacks for seven yards. Schon ended his two-year Muskie tenure with 149 stops, 8.5 tackles for loss for 42 yards and 3.5 sacks for 22 yards.

Boyd anchored the offensive line which helped the Muskies average 340.9 yards and 21 points per game. Muskingum also averaged 18.2 first downs per outing and had a .690 success rate in the red zone.
