The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that senior wide receiver Damon Jones, senior defensive lineman Staci Wilson, sophomore defensive lineman Tim Ousley, and senior linebacker Mick Fishel earned Second Team All-OAC honors. Senior defensive end Chris Weck and senior offensive lineman Brannon Scott were recognized with All-OAC Honorable Mention.
Jones set the school record for receiving yards in a season with 875 yards on 49 receptions. The old mark was 805 yards set by current Minnesota Vikings wide receivers coach Darrell Hazell in 1983. Jones gathered 974 all-purpose yards (35 rushing, 875 receiving, and 64 punt return yards) and logged seven receiving touchdown passes, all of which ranked first on the team. He finished the season ranked fourth in the conference in receiving yards-per-game (87.5) and 11th in touchdowns. Throughout his career, he saw action in 39 games, registered 14 receiving touchdowns and had 1,818 receiving yards which ranks fourth all-time.
Wilson finished the season with 39 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for a loss, one sack, and one fumble recovery. He recorded a season-high nine total tackles against Baldwin Wallace, while adding one sack, and three tackles for loss. In his four years at Muskingum, he appeared in 30 games and collected 103 tackles.
Ousley ended the season ranked first on the squad with six sacks and 17.5 tackles for loss, both career-highs. In addition, he tied for fifth with 63 total tackles, averaging 6.3 tackles-per-game. During the regular season, Ousley tied for fifth place in the OAC in sacks. He will enter his junior year ranked 13th all-time in sacks with 10.5.
Fishel tallied 65 total tackles and averaged 6.6 tackles-per-game for the Muskies defense this season, which was second best on the team. Furthermore, Fishel notched 1.5 sacks, three tackles for a loss for 14 yards, forced two fumbles, and added one interception. He ended his tenure ranked 12th all-time at Muskingum in total tackles with 248.
Weck led the defense with a team-best 66 total tackles and averaged 6.6 tackles-per-game. Additionally, he racked up five sacks, which was tied for eighth best in the conference, 11.5 tackles for loss, and one interception. Weck registered a season-best nine total tackles, added one sack, and an interception in Muskingum's shutout win against Waynesburg. Weck concluded his career with 132 total tackles, 8.5 sacks and 19.5 tackles for loss.
Scott anchored the offensive line and helped the Muskies produce 324.2 yards of offense and 18.9 points per game.
