The Muskingum football team erupted for a season-high 49 points en route to a Senior Day victory against Ohio Athletic Conference foe Wilmington on Saturday in McConagha Stadium, 49-35.

Pregame
- Muskingum recognzied seniors Cody Williams, Josh Snyder, Dominic Bell, Cody Debo, Zach Barry, Barry Parks, Jordan Lee, Michael Johnston, Zac Snively, Jacob Clark, Patrick Hoben, Sam Lucas, Joseph DeWitt III and Jacob Francisco prior to the start of the contest.
- Muskingum also held a moment of silence for the tragic events that took place in Paris on Friday evening.
How It Happened
- With Wilmington driving for the go-ahead score in the waning seconds of the first half, freshman defensive back Henry Alexander III intercepted Luke Creditt's pass and raced 98 yards for a touchdown to change the complexion of the game and give the Muskies a 35-26 lead at the break.
- Senior defensive back Dorian Maynard sealed the win with a 45 yard interception return for a touchdown with 7:59 to play. The touchdown completed the scoring.
- Williams ended the game passing for 92 yards and two scores on 4-of-6 passing with one interception. He also added 84 yards rushing with one touchdown. Williams ends his tenure ranked sixth all-time in total offense with 3,549 yards and seventh in career passing with 2,538 yards.
- Freshman Nick Asturi led the ground game rushing for a career-high 150 yards on 26 totes. He averaged 5.8 yards per carry.
- Sophomore receiver Damon Jones hauled in two receptions for 70 yards and two scores.
- Sophomore receiver Aron Sutton had two grabs for 44 yards and one score. Sutton also ended the year with a single-season record for kickoff return yards with 763
- Junior receiver Griffin Degener tossed one pass for a 34-yard touchdown to Jones..
- Muskingum ended the outing with 409 yards of offense. The last time the Muskies scored 49 points was in 2005 in a 49-9 win at Heidelberg.
- Wilmington was paced by Creditt who threw for 430 yards and four scores on 24-of-42 passing with two interceptions.
- Justin Lee led the Quaker receivers with 14 receptions for 273 yards and two touchdowns.
- Aroyal Wright added five grabs for 89 yards and two scores.
- Eric Flynn Jr. rushed for 72 yards on 16 carries.
- Wilmington amassed 526 yards of offense.
- Junior linebacker Chaney Fulton led the Muskie defense with 13 tackles and one sack for nine yards. Fulton will enter his senior year ranked sixth in career tackles with 278.
- Freshman defensive back Cle'Von Burch had nine stops and sophomore linebacker Mick Fishel had seven.
- Barry logged six stops to raise his career total to 222 tackles, which ranks 12th all-time at Muskingum.
- Muskingum ened the outing with five sacks, with Dewitt III leading the charge with two for eight yards.
- Cody Reigelsperge led the Quaker defense with 15 hits and Tarrell Starkey had 10 stops.
