The Muskingum baseball team completed an electric comeback win over North Central that was highlighted by a four-run bottom of the eighth inning where the Muskies took command of the game. The Muskies finished the game with a 11-9 win and improve to 8-0 on the season.

How It Happened
- The Muskies started the contest slow and fell behind by seven runs through the top of the fourth inning.
- At that moment the Muskies started to mount a comeback effort for the ages.
- Solid at bats and contribution from all levels of the lineup fueled the Muskies through the next five innings of action where they went on an 11-2 run.
- With action happening in every inning besides the bottom of the seventh, the Muskies wouldn't be stopped.
- The onslaught of offense was wrapped up in the bottom of the eighth inning where the Muskies tacked on four runs.
- At that point the Muskies took a 11-9 lead and wouldn't look back.
- Sophomore Gavin Schultz came in to secure the Muskies victory as he recorded the save and kept the North Central rally at bay in the final inning.

- The Muskies scored 11 runs on 11 hits with zero errors.
- The Muskies were led by sophomore Grant Mellerson who logged two hits, three RBI's, and two runs scored.
- The Muskingum bats were fueled by junior Sam Palmieri and freshman Lex Castaneda who each tallied two hits.
- Palmieri added three runs scored and one RBI. Castaneda added one RBI.
- Senior Weston Melick logged a hit, two RBI's, and one run scored.
- Sophomore Conner Thamann recorded a hit and two runs scored.
- Freshman Jasper Owens tallied a hit and two walks. He also had the lone stolen base for the Muskies.
- Sophomore Benny Hess and sophomore Aiden Reis each tallied one hit, one RBI, and one run scored.
- Getting the start on the mound in today's contest was graduate student Erik Cover who recorded seven strikeouts.
- Sophomore Weston Hartman fired off two innings of action to help the Muskies on the mound.
- Freshman Jake Valentine pitched in the top of the eighth inning and secured the win from today's game.
- Sophomore Gavin Schultz wrapped things up on the mound with action in the top of the ninth inning. Schultz didn't allow a run and earned the save for his effort on the mound.
