The Muskingum baseball swept Wilmington in OAC doubleheader action on Saturday afternoon. The Muskies took Game 1, 12-6, and won in tight battle in Game 2, 16-10.

Inside The Numbers - Game 1
- Junior Brett Carson started on the mound for the Muskies and pitched 6.2 innings allowing two runs off six hits.
- Sophomore Devin Ryan led the Muskie offense with three hits and six RBIs.
- Carson added two hits with one RBI.
- Freshman Andy Eurez chipped in three hits and one RBI for Muskingum.
- Evan Kelsey led Wilmington with one hit and two RBIs.

The Difference - Game 1
- The scoring got started in the third inning with the Muskies taking a 4-1 lead.
- Muskingum used a 5-0 surge in the next two innings to take a 9-1 lead.
- The Muskies scored three more runs in the seventh and eighth innings to make it, 12-3.
- Wilmington gained three runs in the ninth, but it wasn't enough as the Muskies secured the win, 12-6.

- Freshman Erik Cover earned the start on the mound for the Muskies and pitched five innings allowing four runs off six hits.
- Freshman Ryan Schwartz led the Muskies at the plate going 3-of-4 with one double and four RBIs.
- Sophomore Drew Dittoe went 3-of-4 with two doubles and three RBIs.
- Ryan and senior Matt Stewart each added three hits with Ryan earning one RBI and Stewart notching two RBIs.
- Freshman Nick Congrove chipped in two hits and one RBI.
- Jesse Relford led Wilmington with three hits and two RBI.
- Jared Lammert added two hits with three RBIs.
- Thomas Hueber started in the circle for the Quakers and pitched six innings allowing two runs on four hits.
The Difference - Game 2
- Wilmington started the scoring early with a 3-0 lead in the first two innings.
- Muskingum got on the board with a Carson sacrifice fly in the third inning.
- The Muskies used a big 7-0 surge through the fifth and seventh innings to take the lead, 9-4.
- The Quakers answered with a 6-0 run of their own in the eighth to regain the lead, 10-9.
- Muskingum came back with another 7-0 surge to retake the lead 16-10 and secure the victory.
