#TributeThursday - featuring Muskingum Baseball seniors
Today, Muskingum Athletics honors four senior student-athletes from the Muskie baseball team - Holden Martin, Bryce Husted, Josh Bigrigg, and Mark Rest.

#5 - Senior Pitcher Holden Martin - History and Education major

Martin, a graduate of Karns City High School, is the son of Lori and Timothy Martin. He has played in 91 career games for the Muskies both in the field and on the mound. At the plate, Martin recorded 56 hits, 30 RBIs, 15 doubles, two home runs, and one triple. On the mound, he tossed 52.1 innings and recorded 35 strikeouts.

"Holden played three years as a two-way player and his senior year as just a pitcher, and he was off to an excellent start," said Muskingum Head Coach Gregg Thompson. "He was the guy we were going to hand the ball to on Saturdays to get us seven innings. He's a grinder that brought an excellent attitude to the park every day for four years. I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds for Holden."

#12 - Senior Pitcher Bryce Husted - Criminal Justice major

Husted, a graduate of Dalton High School, is the son of Linda and Jack Husted. He appeared in 32 games for the Muskies on the mound, earning 11 career starts. He fired 80.2 innings and notched 48 strikeouts, averaging 5.4 strikeouts per nine innings.

"Bryce always brought a big smile to the park every day for four years," said Muskingum Head Coach Gregg Thompson. "He was doing an excellent job mentoring the young guys on the team. Bryce was an excellent leader in our program, and he will be missed."

#17 - Senior Pitcher Josh Bigrigg - Health Administration major

Bigrigg, a graduate of River View High School, is the son of Kathy and Bob Bigrigg. He played in 40 career games for the Muskies pitching in 123.2 innings and recording 81 strikeouts. Bigrigg earned nine wins and two saves during his tenure and had a 1.80 ERA through Muskingum's opening 11 games this spring.

"Josh has a tremendous work ethic that became contagious throughout our program. He took our young arms and showed them the importance of the weight room," said Muskingum Head Coach Gregg Thompson. "Coming off an arm injury, he was throwing extremely well, and I was looking forward to him having a big year. There is no doubt he will be successful in life."

#21 - Senior Pitcher Mark Rest - History major

Rest, a graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School, is the son of Vicki and Mark Rest. He has been a part of the baseball program for four years and has made contributions on and off the field. He appeared in four games as a relief pitcher covering two innings of work.

"Career numbers do not tell the story of his impact on our program, said Muskingum Head Coach Gregg Thompson. "His attitude was awesome, and he was a great mentor for the younger arms in our program. Mark did everything I asked of him, and he will make a tremendous lawyer in the future."
