Archery notches 11th-place finish at 3D Nationals

The Muskingum Archery team traveled to compete at the USA Collegiate Archery 3D Nationals in Foley, Alabama on Oct. 13-15. As team, the Muskies placed 11th overall.

Women's Fixed Pins Team: Finished 6th Place

  • Senior Sydney Joseph shot a personal best individual score and beat her national score last year by 182 points
  • Qualified 6th - for the final team shoots down event
  • They were eliminated in the quarter finals by Lindsey Wilson College

Compound Women's Team: Finished 4th Place 

  • The team included: sophomore Paige Emory, freshman Molly Cepek, and freshman Kylee Brookover
  • The Muskies were able to knock out third seed Lindsey Wilson in the first round
  • Sophomore Treva Hemp shot a huge 14 ring on her first target to help defeat Lindsey Wilson
  • Qualified  for the final team shoot down event
  • The Muskies were eliminated in the finals match by Pikeville University

Men's Fixed Pins Team: Finished 4th Place

  • The team included: junior Kayd LaCroix, junior Remington McClung, and sophomore Wes Ellsworth
  • The Muskies knocked out the number one seed University of Cumberlands in the opening round
  • Secured the highest team round score in the finals with a 92
  • Qualified 8th for the final team shoot down event. They were eliminated in the finals match by Pikeville University

Fixed Pin Team - Placed 7th Overall
