New England Patriots cornerbacks coach and Muskingum University alumnus Josh Boyer '00, won his third Super Bowl Championship (LIII, LI, XLIX) with the Patriots after New England beat the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII on Sunday night.
Boyer, who is in his seventh season as the Patriots' cornerbacks coach, was coaching in his sixth Super Bowl since joining the New England staff. He started working for the Patriots in 2006 as a coaching assistant for three years and then moved to coaching the defensive backs.
While Boyer was at Muskingum, he as was a two-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honoree in 1998 and 1999, while also earning All-Ohio Athletic Conference accolades as a defensive back for the Muskies football team in 1999. He graduated from Muskingum in 2000 with a degree in physical education and health.
